By Aaron Humes: Wayne Reynolds, 59, will stand trial in the Supreme Court starting any time after January of 2021 on a charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, 12 at the time.
The minor said she had intercourse with Reynolds on five different occasions sometime in 2018.
Reynolds, who was unrepresented, appeared before Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser. The prosecutor, Corporal Christopher Smith, submitted as many as 10 police statements including one given by the accuser. With that, Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser informed Reynolds that a prima facie case has been established against him and as a result, she committed his case for trial in the Supreme Court.
He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 which he was able to meet.
