By BBN Staff: The latest data from the Ministry of Health (MOH) says that Belize recorded 38 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The MOH said that the 38 cases were identified from a batch of 173 samples.
They are distributed as follows:
Corozal – 22 (6 Town, 5 San Joaquin, 4 San Andres, 3 Copper Bank, 2 Calcutta, 1 Concepcion, 1 San Pedro Village); Orange Walk – 12 (10 OW Town, 1 Chan Pine Ridge, 1 San Pablo); Belize – 2 (1 City, 1 8 Miles Community); Cayo – 1 in Belmopan; Stann Creek – 1 in Sarawee.
“There are 22 recovered cases to report so that 39.1% of our cases remain active,” the MOH said.
The Ministry also noted that Belize’s case fatality rate is now at 1.6%, showing a slow increase.
