Faber: “[I am] the best political leader of all the parties”

By Aaron Humes: The incumbent United Democratic Party wishes to prove that, in the words of Patrick Faber, “they have the best political leader of all the parties…it gives me an opportunity to demonstrate to them that I am, sir, up to the challenge of governing this nation.”

This was the reason Faber gave for accepting, pending the fulfillment of certain concerns, conditions, and considerations to participate in the Galen University/Chamber of Commerce/LOVE FM leadership debate next Wednesday, October 28. The party does reserve its right to pull out if it cannot get those conditions, not elaborated on, dealt with before then.

Faber acknowledges he is taking a risk, but a necessary one: “it is true that it is going to be open season, an open target on the leader of the UDP – myself. But this is what leadership is all about; you cannot run from all the battles. I am prepared to stand, and stand strong for my party and for the people of this country.”
