Ministry of Health: 22 new cases of COVID-19 identified

By BBN Staff: The Orange Walk and Belize Districts show 20 new cases of COVID-19 from 154 samples tested today.

Another death has also been reported, a male in his 30s from Trial Farm, Orange Walk District who was dead on arrival at the Northern Regional Hospital after being found in distress at home. He had been swabbed in July and was diagnosed during a post-mortem.

The new cases are from Chan Pine Ridge (3), San Estevan, San Pablo, and Trial Farm as well as Orange Walk Town (6) for a total of 12.

Belize City reports seven new cases and Hattieville one.

Twenty-two persons are designated recovered and 38.7 percent of cases are active.
