By BBN Staff: Police have managed to secure another one of the 28 inmates that escaped from the Belize Central Prison last week.
Albert Banner reportedly turned himself in to police yesterday, leaving another 11 inmates still at large.
The escape happened on Monday, October, 12 after a group of inmates knocked out a prison guard and stole a knife from him. They later used the knife to relieve other guards of their uniforms and even a high powered rifle.
Police say that an investigation has been launched to uncover how the escape was made possible, and if the inmates had any inside assistance from the guards at the prison.
