Gou Tai Store in Corozal robbed at gunpoint

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night in Corozal.

Hai Quing Li, owner of Gou Tai Store in Corozal told police that he was behind the counter when 2 men entered.

One of the men armed with a gun demanded money.  As a result, Li handed money to the culprit.

A customer in the store, Mario Carillo was also robbed of his wallet and ID cards.

Investigations continue.
