Ministry of Health: Another 51 cases of COVID-19 identified

By BBN Staff: The latest COVID-19 update prepared by the Ministry of Health says that there are 51 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Belize.

The Ministry said that the new cases came from a batch of 331 samples.

They are distributed as follows: Corozal – 15 (6 Town, 3 San Narciso, 2 San Pedro Village, 1 San Joaquin, 1 Copper Bank, 1 Patchakan, 1 San Roman); Orange Walk – 14 (5 Town, 4 Trial Farm, 2 Guinea Grass, 1 San Jose, 2 from Progreso CZ); Belize – 6 (4 City, 1 Sandhill, 1 from OW Town); Cayo – 2 Roaring Creek; Toledo – 14 (4 Punta Gorda, 10 San Pedro Columbia).

The Ministry added that there are 29 new recoveries.

Belize has confirmed a total of 2,937 cases, with 38.6% of those cases remaining active.
