By BBN Staff: Preliminary data from the Ministry of Health (MOH) says that there will be more than 30 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19 today.
Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero, said that there was an initial batch of 267 samples that yielded 26 positives and a second batch of 84 samples which had 11 more positives, for a preliminary total of 37.
Manzanero added that the data is still subject to change for the final day’s report. He also noted that the Central Medical Lab is expecting to have processed a record number of samples by the end of the day.
Belize has confirmed a total of 2,937 cases, with 38.6% of those cases remaining active.
