Another COVID-19 death; 55 new cases detected

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health informed that another person has passed away due to COVID-19.

No further details were given of the patient. The patient is the 47^th person in Belize to die of COVID-19.

Of the 349 samples processed today, 55 new cases were detected.

The breakdown of the new cases is as follows:

Corozal- 13 (5 Town, 5 San Joaquin, 2 Concepcion, 1 San Narciso)

Belize – 27 (6 City, 10 Kolbe, 2 Ladyville, 1 Hattieville, 1 Gardenia, 1 Grace Bank, 4 San Pedro, 2 from OW Town)

Cayo – 9 (1 San Ignacio, 2 Santa Elena, 2 Benque Viejo, 1 Roaring Creek, 1 Camalote, 1 Teakettle, 1 Belizario Camp)

Stann Creek – 5 (2 Georgetown, 1 Hope Creek, 2 from Bella Vista TOL)

Toledo – 1 Punta Gorda

Forty six more patients recovered from the virus.
