By BBN Staff: Cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in Belize with the country nearing 3,000 confirmed cases.
As of October 22, 2020, the country had registered 2,995 confirmed cases of the virus. Of those confirmed cases, 1,375 are females and 1,620 are males.
COVID-19 cases in the Orange Walk District continue to rise. In the Orange Walk District alone, there have been 1,081 confirmed cases of the virus.
There are 1,123 active cases of COVID-19 and 1,826 patients have recovered from the virus.
Forty-six people have since lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize.
