By Aaron Humes: Twenty-four-year-old Adrian Perrera, an attendant for Puma Freetown Road Gas Station, put his life on the line to prevent a major robbery on Saturday night.
According to Hilberto Romero, Senior Superintendent of Police: “Investigation reveals that Adrian Perrera was at the gas station attending to a customer when a male person approached him with a firearm and demanded money. A struggle ensued after which Perrera fell to the pavement. He was then shot by the culprit. Some money fell on the pavement and the culprit retrieved the money and made good his escape thereafter.”
Police are presently reviewing surveillance footage but have not identified any suspects.
Perrera is stable in the hospital as the investigation continues.
