Human remains found in Belmopan could be missing girl

By BBN Staff: The human remains discovered on Tuesday in Belmopan could be that of a girl who was reported missing over a year ago.

The remains were found in a sewer belonging to Belize Water Services on the Ministry of Works compound in Belmopan.

Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams said that doctors are examining the remains and authorities are going through the list of missing persons.

“We have been receiving some information that it might be a female who had gone missing just over a year ago and so we are looking at that possibility at this time,” Williams noted.
