By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that relatively moist and unstable weather conditions are expected for today.
The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy spells with a few showers, periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms mostly inland and in the south today, then mainly along the coast tonight.
“A flood watch is in effect for the possibility of flooding over low-lying and flood-prone areas, especially in the south,” the Met Service said.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 88 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 79 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 05-10 knots and the sea state will be light chop.
High tide will come in at 8:49 a.m. and low tide will occur at 2:56 p.m.
The sun will set at 5:22 p.m. and the moon will rise at 4:30 p.m.
