By Aaron Humes: The Belize City Council has opened Duck Lane from its junction with Church Street to that with Regent Street West to traffic this morning after completing the concreting of the street.
Particularly from its junction with Orange Street to that with Water Lane it is a key thoroughfare for drivers, especially the so-called “dalla vans” which operate from Lake Independence in the west.
The Council spent an estimated $50,000 on renovations.
Today’s opening was hosted by Mayor Bernard Wagner and attended by Albert PUP standard bearer Paul Thompson.
We’ll have more coming up later on.
