Commissioner of Police reminds Belizeans to take all precautionary measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19

“With all that is happening with this Covid-19 pandemic, I truly wish my people would take it more seriously and take better precautionary measures to protect themselves and their families. It is rough out there my people, this virus is killing people around us everyday. We are losing our love ones to this virus,” Williams said.

Williams says that some people are still behaving irresponsibly, walking around without a mask, wearing the mask under their chin, not sanitizing, holding social events and not practicing social distancing.

“These are basic things that we should all be doing to fight this deadly virus. At the end of the day we must understand, the virus do not move on its own, we are its mode of transportation so we can decide not to pick it up or kill it as we pick it up,” he added.

He urged all Belizeans to act responsibly because our children and elderly population need us to protect them.

He also reminded Belizeans to include God in their endevours.
