Corozal, Orange Walk and Belize districts dominate the 80 new cases of COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The Corozal, Orange Walk and Belize districts dominate the 80 new cases of COVID-19 detected today. A total of 252 samples were processed resulting in a positivity rate of 31.7%.

The 80 new cases are distributed as follows:

Corozal – 23 (6 Town, 4 Libertad, 3 Caledonia, 3 San Joaquin, 2 Ranchito, 2 San Andres, 1 Santa Rita, 1 Chunox, 1 Cristo Rey)

Orange Walk – 20 (13 Town, 2 Trial Farm, 2 San Jose, 1 Guinea Grass, 1 San Estevan, 1 Carmelita)

Belize – 20 (14 City, 4 Ladyville, 1 San Pedro, 1 from Libertad, Corozal)

Cayo – 14 (3 Bullet Tree Falls, 3 Santa Elena, 2 Benque Viejo del Carmen, 2 Belmopan, 1 San Ignacio, 1 Camalote, 1 San Jose Succotz, 1 Douglas De Silva Camp)

Stann Creek -1 from Hopkins

Toledo – 2 from Punta Gorda

There were 21 recoveries reported today. A total of 2,148 cases have now recovered and 1,256 or 36.3% remaine active.
