By BBN Staff: The People’s United Party (PUP) launched its series of planned policies in the recent Plan Belize manifesto.

The PUP says that their COVID-19 recovery plan for tourism is innovative and creative.

The PUP says that it recognizes the impact COVID-19 has had on the tourism industry and has strategized plans for the recovery.

With many businesses and employees suffering from the economic impacts of this pandemic, the PUP plans to devise and implement the strategies and policies that will assist in rebuilding the tourism industry and the critical sectors that support it.

“It is critical that the marketing campaigns (traditional and digital) show that Belize is different and safe to visit, especially since our product is one that is built for a more personal and unique visitor experience,” the PUP says.

Included in their plans is a digital marketing destination effort with a social media influencer campaign and google campaign launch to market Belize.

The party says that it will partner all efforts with a robust digital media push.

The PUP also plans to implement a small and medium tourism web to cater for small and medium tourism entrepreneurs in the digital space.

They also included plans for private-sector actions to be taken to develop and grow the industry.
