CARICOM mission to observe November 5th general elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

By BBN Staff: General elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is being held on Thursday, 5 November 2020 and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is mounting a mission to observe the elections.

Mr. Anthonyson King, a member of the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission is heading the 6-person mission. The rest of the team is made up of regional experts in electoral management and administration as well as community nationals with experience in election observation.

As part a wider policy of supporting democracy, the “election observation mission serves as a platform to support existing democratic traditions within the Caribbean Community”, notes a CARICOM news release.
