Posted: Wednesday, November 4, 2020. 10:13 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Sixteen residents located in an area behind the San Ignacio hospital need immediate assistance from NEMO to evacuate.

Some residents tried to evacuate families in the area.

However, water levels are quickly rising.

Initially, personnel from NEMO and the Belize Defence Force (BDF) arrived but left shortly after since they had no vehicle or canoe to go into the area.

The residents are seeking immediate help to rescue them.

Cayo Residents Alberto Palma and Manuel Gonzalez are trying to assist the families. Anyone willing to help can call 672-9679.
