By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health reports that there were 2 COVID-19 deaths today. This brings the total deaths to 66, and represents a disturbing trend with 7 deaths recorded in the last 3 days. Two deaths occurred on Tuesday, 3rd November and 3 deaths deaths were recorded on Wednesday, 4th November.
Both of today’s victims are males. The first victim, a resident of Orange Walk, is in his 80’s and died at KHMH’s ICU COVID-unit. According to the Ministry, the second victim is a male from San Ignacio who had been swabbed as a highly symptomatic case and has been confirmed as a positive case.
At 66 deaths, Belize’s case fatality rate has edged up to 1.66%.
