39 new cases of COVID-19 – Orange Walk district dominates again

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health reports that a total of 96 samples were processed today and 39 new cases were identified.  This gives a positivity rate of 40.6%, the highest percent ever recorded since the start of the pandemic.

The new cases are distributed as follows:

Corozal – 7 (4 Town, 1 Libertad, 1 San Antonio, 1 San Joaquin)

Orange Walk – 19 (10 Town, 3 San Jose, 1 San Pablo, 1 Guinea Grass, 1 August Pine Ridge, 1 Yo Creek, 1 from Chunox CZ, 1 from BZ City)

Belize – 9 (7 City, 1 from CZ Town, 1 from Patchakan CZ)

Cayo – 2 (1 Belmopan, 1 Benque Viejo)

Stann Creek – 2 (1 Independence, 1 from Banana Bank CY)

There were 7 recovered cases today.
