By BBN Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister announced a short while ago that he has tested negative for COVID-19.

This is after Barrow, his driver and staff at the Edward Laing Building in Belize City all had to be tested following a positive test for head of security Jeff Gabourel.

No further details were given as to whether the Prime Minister remains in self-isolation ahead of general elections next week. The Prime Minister is winding down his final term in office, having entered national politics in 1984.
