BREAKING: Joe Biden wins US presidency after a projected win in Pennsylvania, says BBC

By Aaron Humes: In news released a short while ago, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) declared that “Joe Biden has won the race to become the next US president, defeating Donald Trump following a cliff-hanger vote count after Tuesday’s election”.

According to the BBC, this position was taken as it projects that former Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden will win the state of Pennsylvania and with it the Presidency of the United States. Winning the battleground state of Pennsylvania will propel Joe Biden over the 270 electoral college votes required to send him to the White House.

Biden came from behind to pick up the 20 electoral votes in his birth state of Pennsylvania – he currently lives in and represents nearby Delaware in the Senate.

Incumbent Donald Trump does not plan to concede at the moment. He insists he has won and has filed multiple lawsuits challenging vote counts across the nation.

Biden also leads in Arizona, Nevada and Georgia, the last of which is so narrow a recount is necessary.
