Faber and Barrow: We are ready to respond; general elections not postponed

Posted: Saturday, November 7, 2020. 11:56 am CST.

By Aaron Humes: Leader of the United Democratic Party Patrick Faber announced with the approval of the Prime Minister that Wednesday’s General Election will go ahead, even though the parties will work overtime to get the voters to the polls.

Barrow said there are no provisions for such a postponement in the Constitution except in the most extreme circumstances such as a direct hit from Hurricane Eta.

If such a thing can be contemplated, said Barrow, it would be between the leaders of the major parties.
