Ministry of Health: More than 20 patients hospitalized countrywide due to COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The latest COVID-19 update provided by the Ministry of health this afternoon shows that more than 23 people are in hospitals in the various health regions due to COVID-19.

The Ministry’s update said that there are five patients in the COVID-19 unit of the Western Regional Hospital (WRH), four patients admitted at the Corozal Community Hospital (3 confirmed cases and one-highly suspect case), two patients in the COVID-19 Unit of the Northern Regional Hospital (NRH), and 12 patients in the COVID-19 unit of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).

The Ministry also noted that three of the patients at the KHMH are intubated at this time. There are also no patients being considered for discharge today.

The MOH said that a full update to the national COVID-19 situation will be published later today.
