New P.M. John Briceno orders shutdown of Lands Department until Monday

By Aaron Humes: In one of his first acts as Prime Minister, John Briceno has ordered the Ministry of Natural Resources closed until Monday.

He confirmed hearing multiple conflicting reports of improper activity following a detention this morning by police. Activity over the past few days and preceding will be reviewed.

Additionally, appointees to statutory boards by protocol are being asked to resign, though professionals will be allowed to continue.
