By BBN Staff: Today, the Belize Communications Workers’ Union (BCWU) joined other organizations at home and abroad in extending congratulations to the newly-elected Prime Minister of Belize, John Briceño, and the other elected area representatives that now form the Government of Belize.

“As a democratic nation, the Belizean people exercised their free choice in the election held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, proving that the democratic process is very much still alive. The challenges that face Belize requires the best possible governance, one that capitalizes on the opportunities available to better the lives of all,” the BCWU said.

The union also said that it looks forward to Briceño leading with integrity and transparency. The union also noted that it looks forward to forming an amicable working relationship with the new GOB.
