Posted: Friday, November 13, 2020. 6:15 pm CST.

Contributed by National Students’ Union of Belize: The National Students’ Union of Belize would like to express a sincere congratulations to the new Prime Minister of Belize, the Hon. John Briceño, and members of his party on their decisive victory at the polls this past Wednesday. The scale at which the party won -26 to 5- is a true measure of the confidence which the Belizean people have entrusted them with.

We also take this opportunity to congratulate the Hon. Francis Fonseca on his appointment as the Minister responsible for Education, Culture, Science and Technology and to Dr Louis Zabaneh as the Minister of State within that Ministry. We look forward to building a close working relationship with them and the Ministry as we strive to better our education system and improve student participation in matters of national concern.

Lastly, the National Student’s Union of Belize as the sole national student organisation, pledges its full commitment to working with the new administration and we wish them all the best in their endeavours.
