Belize Met Service: Cloudy day with some showers ahead

The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that relatively moist air mass is dominating the weather bringing cloudy spells and isolated showers in various areas.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and cloudy at times tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated with a few more inland and south this afternoon; then mainly over southern, some coastal, and offshore areas tonight.

“A flood warning remains in effect for communities in the Belize District,” the Met Service said.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing North-Northeast between 5-10 knots and the sea state will be slight

High tide will come in at 8:57 a.m. and low tide will begin at 3:40 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:16 p.m. and the moon rose today at 6:20 a.m.
