COVID-19 update: 78 new cases identified

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health’s data indicate that of the 256 samples processed today, 78 new cases were identified.

The breakdown of the new cases is as follows:

Corozal – 22 (12 Town, 2 San Andres, 2 San Narciso, 2 Libertad, 1 Paraiso, 1 San Roman, 2 From Santa Elena, CY)

Orange Walk – 23 (8 OW Town, 5 San Jose, 3 San Pablo, 2 Douglas, 2 Guinea Grass, 1 Tower Hill, 1 Yo Creek, 1 San Lorenzo)

Belize – 20 (12 City, 4 Kolbe, 1 Ladyville, 1 San Pedro, 1 from Belmopan, 1 from Bella Vista, TOL)

Cayo – 8 (5 Belmopan, 1 Valley of Peace, 1 San Ignacio, 1 Benque Viejo del Carmen)

Stann Creek – 4 (1 Dangriga, 1 Georgetown, 1 from Bella Vista, TOL, 1 from Bladden, TOL)

Toledo – 1 from San Marcos

Thirty-four more patients recovered from the virus.

A total of 44.7% of cases  remain active.
