22 new cases of COVID-19 identified; over 1,000 cases under investigation

BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health reports that 22 new cases of COVID-19 were identified after 69 samples were processed and that more samples are being processed into the night.

The 22 new cases are distributed as follows:

Corozal – 5 (2 Corozal Town, 1 San Narciso, 1 San Roman, 1 Ranchito)
Orange Walk – 1 in Orange Walk Town
Belize – 7 (1 Belize City, 4 Ladyville, 1 from San Victor, Czl, 1 San Ignacio, CY)
Cayo – 8 (7 Belmopan, 1 San Antonio)
Stann Creek – 1 from Bella Vista, Toledo

Ten cases recovered today and 1,061 cases are under investigation. 2,181 cases or 44.7% of total cases remain active.
