By BBN Staff: With 4 more deaths reported on today (Wednesday), Belize reaches a milestone of 100 deaths related to COVID-19.
All 4 deaths are males, 3 of whom were in their 80s and hailing one each from Calcutta (Corozal), Benque Viejo del Carmen and Independence (Stann Creek), and one in his 90s from Valley Community in the Stann Creek district.
With 100 deaths resulting from 5,958 cases, Belize’s case fatality rate has now surpassed 2% (actual is 2.02%). Seventy two males and 28 females have died from, or with, the virus.
There were 20 cases that recovered today, leaving 43.9% of cases active.
