Prices of premium and diesel to increase; regular to see decrease

Posted: Wednesday, November 18, 2020. 3:29 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Finance announced that on Thursday, November 19, 2020, the pump price of three fuel products will change.

The prices for premium gasoline and diesel will register an increase, while regular gasoline will register a decrease.

The new prices are as follows:

Premium Gasoline will increase by 29 cents from $9.20 to $9.49 per gallon;

Regular Gasoline will decrease by 25 cents from $8.86 to $8.61 per gallon; and Diesel will increase by 17 cents from $7.94 to $8.11 per gallon.

The price for kerosene will remain unchanged at $4.73 per gallon.

 The Government says that the price changes reflect the current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.

The Government says that it is monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.
