54 new cases of COVID-19 detected

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness have detected 54 new cases of COVID-19. Forty three percent of all cases remain active.

The breakdown of the new cases is as follows:

Corozal – 2 (1 Patchakan, 1 San Victor)

Orange Walk – 9 (4 Town, 1 Yo Creek, 1 San Jose, 1 Santa Martha, 1 Guinea Grass, 1 from Progresso, CZ)

Belize -15 (4 City, 6 Ladyville, 1 Lord’s Bank, 1 Maskall, 2 San Pedro, 1 from OW Town)

Cayo – 21 (6 Belmopan, 4 San Ignacio, 3 Santa Elena, 1 Armenia, 1 Camalote, 1 Cotton Tree, 1 Teakettle, 1 Esperanza, 1 from Belize City, 1 from Burrell Boom BZ, 1 from Jalacte TOL)

Stann Creek – 7 (1 Dangriga, 1 Independence, 1 Hopkins, 1 SC Valley, 1 Mullins River, 1 from Punta Gorda TOL, 1 from Ladyville BZ)

Seven patients remain critically ill at KHMH.

The Ministry continues to urge everyone to continue to exercise all prevention measures at all times and to minimize interactions in public or social circles to minimize exposure.
