Six arrested in connection with Burrel Boom burglary

By BBN Staff: Police have arrested and charged six men in connection with a burglary that took place in Burrel Boom village on Wednesday night.

Those arrested and charged are Donald Lemoth, 35; Shaquille Patnett, 23; Ryan Welcome, 32; Phillip Wallace, 32; Steven Palma, 21; and Keyon Stran, 17.

Garry Samuels, 53, reported to police that on Wednesday night around 7:30 he was with his family inside their home when two men wearing hoodies and face masks entered the home with firearms. Four other men then entered the home and the six then tied up the family and proceeded to ransack the place.

The burglars took an assortment of items including several cell phones, jewelry, cash, and a laptop to a total value of $19,464. Police soon set chase and caught up with the vehicle believed to be used by the suspects. A search of the vehicle yielded several of the stolen items.
