By BBN Staff: The number of persons dying with COVID-19 related symptoms continue to increase in Belize with 4 more deaths reported today. Two (2) of these 4 deaths occurred at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), including a female from the Cayo District and a male in his 60s from Corozal.

The 3rd person to die is a female in her 70’s from Xaibe who died at the Corozal Community Hospital and the 4th is a male in his 60s who died at the Western Regional Hospital.

Total COVID-19 related deaths in Belize is now 116 and the case fatality rate has crept up to 2.24%

There were 42 recoveries reported today, leaving 2,225 cases or 42.9% of total cases active.
