BREAKING: 4 more COVID-19 deaths on Monday; total deaths now 120

By BBN Staff: Belize continues to grapple with the people, mostly the elderly, dying too soon due to COVID-19. On the first day of this week, the Director of Health Services reports that there are 4 more COVID-19 deaths to add to the ever increasing tally.

All 4 deaths are from the Corozal district, 3 males and one female. Their ages ranges from 43 to 72 years. With 120 deaths from a total of 5,249 cases, Belize’s case fatality rate is now at 2.29%.

There were 35 recoveries reported, leaving 42.9% of all cases active.
