United Airlines piloting COVID tests for passengers

Posted: Monday, November 23, 2020. 1:37 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: United Airlines has announced that it will be rolling out COVID-19 testing for passengers headed to the Caribbean and Latin America next month.

Starting on December 7, passengers departing from  Houston Intercontinental (IAH)  to select destinations in Central and South America and the Caribbean can arrange a self-collected, mail-in COVID-19 RT-PCR test through United and ADL Health, which will satisfy the entry requirement for most countries.

“As people around the world resume travelling, we’re piloting programs on select routes to help make COVID-19 testing more accessible and learn more about the benefits of pre-departure testing,” United Airlines said.

The test will be available to passengers bound for Aruba (AUA), Belize City, Belize (BZE), Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA), Lima, Peru (LIM), Nassau, Bahamas (NAS), Panama City, Panama (PTY), San Pedro Sula, Honduras (SAP), San Salvador, El Salvador (SAL),  and Tegucigalpa, Honduras (TGU).
