By BBN Staff: Last weekend was Belize’s worst for deaths associated with COVID-19 thus far, with 14 people dying from complications related to the virus.
Data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness show that there were five COVID-19 deaths on Friday, another five on Saturday, and four on Sunday.
The Ministry’s data shows that it was one of the worst weeks with respect to COVID deaths, with 26 Belizeans dying from the virus in a 7-day span (November 16-22). That leaves an average of 3.71 deaths per day last week.
Men continue to outnumber women with respect to COVID 19 deaths, representing 84 of the total 120 deaths., as four more were reported last night.
