COVID-19 Update: 88 new cases identified

By BBN Staff: Data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness indicate that of 342 tests processed, 88 new cases of COVID-19 were identified.

The breakdown of new cases is as follows:

Corozal – 1 (Town)

Orange Walk – 31 (11 Town, 2 San Jose Palmar, 3 Trial Farm, 1 Yo Creek, 1 August Pine Ridge, 2 San Estevan, 2 San Antonio, 1 San Roman, 2 San Luis, 1 Guinea Grass, 2 Chan Pine Ridge, 1 from Santa Clara CZ, 1 from San Joaquin CZ, 1 from Georgetown SC)

Belize – 35 (22 City, 3 Mahogany Heights, 2 Ladyville, 1 Lord’s Bank, 1 Rhaburn Ridge, 2 Gardenia, 2 Caye Caulker, 2 KOLBE)

Cayo – 21 (1 Belmopan, 8 San Ignacio, 6 Santa Elena, 2 Benque Viejo, 1 Santa Familia, 1 Duck Run III, 1 Bullet Tree Falls, 1 Esperanza)

A patient who is COVID-19 positive delivered a baby in San Ignacio. Both mom and baby are doing good.

Eighty-seven more patients recovered today.
