By Aaron Humes: As part of new public measures to fight COVID-19, a nationwide curfew begins on Saturday night at nine p.m. running to five a.m. daily, Minister of Health and Wellness Michel Chebat announced today.

Private gatherings remain limited to ten and no public gatherings will be allowed, he continued.

Work from home orders will be established for certain workers and businesses and other public places will be asked to maintain social distancing regulations of six feet between persons.

Those in quarantine will be handed a stipend and food packages, and hotels will be brought in to host persons who for certain reasons cannot quarantine at home.

The Minister reminded that masks, social distancing and other regulations remain in place and we can only control the pandemic with our own behaviour.
