By BBN Staff: Last night, the Department of the Environment (DOE) hosted a virtual public consultation regarding the proposed expansion at the Port of Belize Limited to upgrade its cargo facility as well as the addition of a cruise port and tourism village.
The consultation featured presentations on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, presented by the DOE, along with a presentation on the EIA report prepared by an international consultant.
The virtual consultation was streamed live on the Government of Belize Press Office Facebook page, and the online meeting platform Zoom, for the public to ask questions after a series of presentations.
