By BBN Staff: The Belize National Meteorological Service (Belize Met Service) says the weather remains fair but some areas of the country will see showers overnight.
Over the next 24 hours, skies will be sunny with cloudy spells and cloudy at times tonight. Showers will be isolated at first, then increase late tonight.
Winds are from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots and the sea state is light chop.
A flood warning remains in effect.
Temperatures will reach highs of 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 over inland areas, and 76 in the hills. Tonight, low temperatures will be 76 degrees along the coast, 70 inland, and 64 in the hills.
Tides will be high at 9:11 a.m.this morning and low at 2:40 p.m. this afternoon, then high again at 8:32 tonight.
The sun sets at 5:16 p.m. this evening and rises at 6:05 a.m. Sunday morning.
No tropical weather formations are expected through the next 48 hours.
The extended outlook to Sunday night is for cloudy skies at times with showers along the coast in the morning, moving inland in the afternoon then becoming isolated later.
