By BBN Staff: Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams informed the public via his social media page today that as of midnight, new regulations of Statutory Instrument 170/2020 went into effect.
The curfew is now from 10 pm to 4:59 am the following morning.
Williams says that security personnel, essential and frontline workers, and other essential workers in possession of a pass issued by the Minister of Home Affairs will be allowed to move around during curfew hours providing they are doing so within the scope of their duties.
The wearing of face masks remains a must in every public place. However, children under the age of 6 years are exempted from wearing masks.
If you are at home or in your vehicle with people from your immediate household, you are not required to wear a mask.
Businesses are not to allow anyone in their establishment unless they wear a mask or other mouth or nose covering and social distancing of six feet or more must be maintained.
In addition, stablishments are to ensure that persons who enter their business practice social distancing.
