Deadly family feud: niece stabs uncle over cellphone

By BBN Staff: A Belize City man is dead, following a violent altercation with his niece last night.

Police say that around 9:20 p.m. Renickle Hemmans, 41, and his niece Courtney Trapp, 21, were on Antelope Street having an argument, over her cellphone that went missing.

The allegation was that Hemmans had sold her phone.

Trapp reportedly took a kitchen knife and stabbed Hemmans, who died from the injury around 9:45 p.m.
