One COVID-19 death reported on Monday brings total deaths to 148

By BBN Staff: After almost 2 weeks of a spike in deaths due to COVID-19 in Belize, there is relief today with only one death reported. The victim is a female in her 80s from the Corozal district.

This death brings the total deaths due to COVID-19 to 148 which represents a case fatality rate of 2.53%. Of the 148 deaths, 101 are males and 47 are females.

This past weekend, from Friday to Sunday, Belize had a record 16 deaths and hospital facilities across the country had up to 54 patients hospitalized due to COVID-19.
