By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that windy and cool conditions prevail in the wake of a cold front that crossed the country last night.
The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy, windy, and cool weather with periods of light rain mainly offshore, over the south, and along some coastal areas.
” A flood warning remains in effect for communities near rivers, streams, creeks, and waterways in central and western parts of the country,” the Met Service said.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 77 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 77 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 70 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 63 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 56 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be gusty, blowing North-Northwest between 15-25 knots, and the sea state will be rough.
” A small craft warning is in effect for gusty winds and rough seas. Operators of small crafts should remain in safe harbor,” the Met service added.
High tide will come in at 11:06 a.m. and low tide will begin at 4:10 p.m.
The sun will set at 5:16 p.m. and the moon will rise at 6:28 p.m.
