By BBN Staff: A man is recovering from a gunshot injury he sustained while moving around in violation of the current curfew instituted by the Government of Belize (GOB).
Police say that Joshua Saragusa, 23, was in Independence Village, riding his bicycle in the direction of Fadden Avenue when three masked men ran towards him.
One of the men pulled out a gun and fired a shot hitting him to the body.
He was taken to the Independence Polyclinic for treatment.
Police are investigating the incident.
As a means of preventing the spread of COVID-19, GOB implemented a 21-day curfew, which runs from 10:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.
