November had the highest number of COVID-19 deaths on record for Belize

By BBN Staff: Belize recorded 89 deaths related to COVID-19 in November, making it the single worst month on record.

From the month of March, when the pandemic first made its way to Belize, to the end of October, Belize has recorded a total of 59 deaths.

Closing out the month of November, deaths had climbed to 148, according to the last update issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).

The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections was also considerably higher between the end of October and the month of November, going from 3,487 to 5,854. a difference of 2,367.

Breaking Belize News (BBN) joins with the MOHW and other partners in the national COVID-19 response in pleading with Belizeans to adhere to the protocols set in place for the prevention of the virus, reminding that all Belizeans can be affected by the actions of just a few.
