The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that a moist northeasterly airflow is expected to support rainy conditions during the next 24 hours.
The 24-hour forecast calls for continuing cloudy skies. Some periods of rain, a few showers, and possible isolated thunderstorms will occur over most areas of the country, starting especially this afternoon and continuing tonight.
“A flood warning remains in effect for communities near rivers, streams, creeks, and waterways in central and western parts of the country,” the Met Service said.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 80 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 64 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be gusty, blowing Northeast between 10-20 knots, and the sea state will be moderate- rough.
“A small craft caution for occasional gusty winds and rough seas: operators of small crafts are advised to exercise caution,” the Met service added.
High tide will come in at 11:47 a.m. and low tide will begin at 4:43 p.m.
The sun will set at 5:16 p.m. and the moon will rise at 7:20 p.m.
